Cricut Quickie
Here's my very first Cricut Quickie! I had to throw together a card for a friend of my son's birthday half an hour before he was walking out the door. Don't you just love how they give you a heads up!?! So when it was done I had the idea of doing a "Cricut Quickie" each week. No thinkin ahead....you just have to walk up to the cricut machine and decide! It was actually fun. So I started out with Black cardstock from DCWV for the base and red for the background. Then I quickly flipped through my cricut manuals and decided on the Just 4 You image from graphically speaking. I cut the "Just" box out of black glitter paper from DCWV glitter pack at 4", then the 4, but it was TOO big so I cut it again at 2 1/2" and it was perfect. Then I noticed Potpourri Basket sitting there open to the stars on the all star page so I decided to add some of those. I ran my red cardstock through my new Sizzix Texture Boutique with the scrolls plate and cute the edge with a notebook punch. I think it's Martha Stewart but I'll have to double check that. Then adhered everything together and used the inkadinkadoo stamp Happy Birthday on the inside and embossed it in white. Easy Peasy! I had no idea when Dylan was showing up to pick up Dennis so it was a bit stressful but fun too. The best part was later that evening when the kids stopped by and Dylan thanked me for "making" his card. He thought that was pretty cool.

Our Daily Bread Challenge....
This week's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs- Shining the Light Challenge:
Since it is February and we are acknowledging national hero’s (President’s day) or people who are special to us (Valentine’s Day) in the U.S. , the challenge team is challenging you to acknowledge and case a crafter you admire or a creation you admire changing just two elements to make it our own.
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 25. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.
So with that said.....I decided to use my brand new stamp set "Get Well" which I was so excited to buy with my gift certificate I won on their blog! Woo Hoo I have become a fan of Sabrina over at SJButterflyDreams Blog. She is so talented and I really do love all her work. I met her through her candy blog and have continued to become friends. She did a card here that I just loved and was the reason I chose the stamp set I did. I used paper from the Basic Grey paper pad "Eva", Prima flowers (that came in a cute little bra - lol), ODBB Get Well stamp set, I stamped it twice, the first time I embossed it in green, the second I embossed in gold and cut out the butterflies to overlay. I also used brown satin ribbon I found at Walmart and some heart brads from my stash, along with some pink seed beads for texture and sparkle. The two elements I changed were the shape of the background sentiment and the butterfly technique. It doesn't come close to doing Sabrina's justice but she's such an inspiration to me. The other card I loved was done with the Friendship stamp which is next on my wish list. She showcased it here beautifully but I didn't have the tools to duplicate this one. Take a peek anyway! You won't be sorry! Thanks for stopping by!
Stop by tomorrow morning for a quickie Cricut card post. I wanna start at least once a week doing that. Thanks for all your loving comments they mean the world to me!

Love Turtle
Happy Thursday! I have another post for you today. I just love this little turtle. I did the sick Karen's Doodles turtle a few posts back. I like working with the greens from Prisma Pencils they're so vibrant. The ribbon is from Walmart and the paper is from the same paper pack I've been working with on the last 5 or so cards. I don't have a challenge to enter it into because I confused myself (not hard to do) and did the wrong image for the wrong challenge. LOL Oh well, I'm on a Karen's Doodles kick right now and lovin it. Stop by there later today they have 5 new images being posted. Have a great day and I'll be back later!
Peace and Joy

Birthday Wishes 2
Here's my second post for tonight. This card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge, sketch 126 I used the "Fairy Princess" image from Karen's Doodles. I have lots of her images and am slowly working them into cards! The sentiment is from an Inkadinkado collection I got from scrapbuck.com. (not to be confused with scrapbook.com)LOL If you've never shopped there it's a great way to get some items at a huge bargain. Most things are $1.00-$1.50. An amazing shopping site!! Check it out.
I tend to run off in 10 different directions - LOL. Sorry, I remember something cool and just spill it. I posted for Flutterby and Sweet Stop below this post so check that one out too. Have a wonderful evening and I'll be posting in the morning for Squigglefly's challenge!
Peace and Love - Jen
P.S. If anyone can easily explain how to post picture links in my sidebar I'd sooooo very appreciate it! Thanks to Debby I finally figured out links! LOL
Birthday Wishes
Hey there! I have a couple posts tonight for different challenges. I'm so glad I found these. It's a great way to set goals for myself, to push the envelope and try out new techniques. This is for the Sweet Stop, SSS43, February 13th using the sketch found here. I'm also entering it in Flutter By Wednesday Challenge. This week our challenge is to use hearts along with your butterfly, fairy or angel. I used Lee the Birthday Fairy digi from Mo's Digital Pencil Too. The hearts are on the pattered paper in the background by DCHS. I recently purchased a few images from Mo's and love them. They have that whimsy look that I just love! I wasn't thrilled with it but I guess it's cute. Hope you enjoy it.

Make A Wish
Happy Tuesday! It's still snowing here in beautiful Tennessee. They said we were only supposed to get a dusting this morning but we're already working on two additional inches. It's so pretty looks just like cotton candy. I'm posting a card a made with another Digital Two For Tuesday image. She's such a beautiful little girl. I decided to do a birthday card. I followed the rules of a challenge I saw somewhere (can't remember anymore) that was to use pink, brown and vanilla. To that I made some flowers with the coordinating papers to match. I just love this paper. It came in a summer/spring pack I got. I colored her with Prisma Color Pencils and blending stump. Have a happy Tuesday! I may be back later today to post some challenges but reality is it'll be in the morning! LOL
Happy Day!

MOJO Monday Card Post
I thought I was gonna miss getting this posted again this week! Dang it anyhow. This didn't turn out exactly like I had it pictured in my head but it's okay. I love the image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too If you haven't used any of her digi's you must check them out! She's got great tutorials as well. Anyway I did this for this weeks MOJO Monday Challenge I hope you enjoy my take on it. When I saw this image it reminded me of sayin my prayers before bed and asking God to give me happy dreams. I did some embossing on the backgrounds, not sure if it really shows up in this picture. Thanks for stopping by!

A Karen's Doodles Image!
I was still up so I thought I'd post this card I did with my first digi image from Karen's Doodles. I am in love with her work. I've purchased several digi's and will be posting them throughout the next couple weeks. Take the time to go look you won't be disappointed. She is also offering a FREE DIGI on her other site Paper Craft Planet. So this image is called A Friend in Need and Herbert is too big for Bigsby's bed. Karen has a line of Bigsby images as well that are to die for! Hope you enjoyed it. Stop back by for more of Karen's Images and have a great night!

FINALLY A New Card
Hi everyone! I've had a couple of rough weeks and havn't been online muc. I did several cards for some challenges and never got them posted so I thought I'd post one of them today. This image is one of my favorites from Two For Tuesdays. She's just such an adorable little girl. She actually originally went with the fairy on my previous Flutterbye project. That's one thing I like about Two For Tuesdays they break the images down and give you the option of using them in many different ways. As soon as I figure out how to link their website, I will. You can also find them on my sidebar if you want to check out the images. They are all FREE, how can you beat that. Most all of them are vintage inspired and chosen with love. I cut the lampost from my Cricut, I just thought it added a great touch to the card. It was gonna be in the MOJO Monday but that's long over now. LOL Anyway, thanks for stoppin by and I'll attempt to make it to all my favorite sites today and tomorrow and leave some love.
OH Happy Day!
Jen
