Happy Birthday DH

Tomorrow, or rather in a couple minutes is my hubby's birthday. The last time I looked at the calendar I still had a week to finish his card and tonight I realized it wasn't done yet. Crap! So after he went to bed I diligently got crackin. This is the sexiest thing he'll get! LOL

This image is from the great Kenny K. It's "Allura VonD". I personally haven't seen her colored up yet and that kinda surprises me. Are we all that over the hill! LOL Anyway I thought she was perfect for a personal manly birthday card. I used the sketch at Paper Romance as it worked great for what I wanted. I'm not letting you peek inside though......tee heee.

Thanks for stopping by.

NOEL Christmas

My last post for tonight is for MOJO Monday's Sketch Challenge. I couldn't fit it in with any of my other challenges and then I decided I don't have to!! I got my Cricut out and used my "Christmas Noel Cartridge". I always think of the "NOEL" cut when I see a sketch like this one. I cut this at 4" and then made my card around the cuts. In keeping with my using up my scraps I used the negatives of the cuts as well. (I think that's what they're called - LOL) By doing that I was able to come up with two different cards that resemble each other. I couldn't stand to just throw away the parts I didn't need. The scraps also gave me an idea for another card I'm working on. I'll be posting that one in a day or two so watch for it! I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for stoppin by and have a restful Sunday tomorrow! My first post of today is directly under this one.

*Update* While blogging, I noticed My Pink Stamper is having a challenge for the Cricut so I am going to enter this in that since I just did it today! I don't usually see challenges over there - Yay

Get Well Card

I haven't played with my Karen's Doodles images in awhile and they were feelin a bit neglected. This is one of the very first images I ever got and I just love it. I used paper from my DCWV, summer pack. Colored my image "A friend in Need" with my prisma's. I made my tag from left over scraps of paper, including the flowers and ribbon. The button was from a mix of gems pack I got somewhere. Here's the challenges I'm entering it into:

Karen's Doodles - Polka Dots
Stamp Scrap and Doodle - Get well or Good luck card
Friday Sketchers - Sketch

Thanks so much for stoppin by!

Christmas Canes

Real quick post tonight. Everyobody in the house is tryin to get computer time. LOL This is one of Mo's new Christmas images, "Christmas Fairy Mint". Isn't she just adorable!!! I used papers from my making memories pack, glittered her wings and made my own flowers!! Whatcha think of those? I also followed the sketch at the Sketch Saturday Challenge. Check out below this one for my other post from today.

Have a fun Friday night!!

Jen

Challenges entered:

Sketch Saturday - sketch
Flutterbye - anything goes with wings
Magical Monday - Flowers

I just noticed that my sentiment fell off. Dangit. It was a little tag that said Joy! I'll have to retake it and repost later.

"School Zone"

My first post for today is my sweet Mo's image "byebye". She reminds me so much of my sweet little girl, Wednesday, that lives next door. She's almost 4 and wants so badly to go to school. I can just picture her with her backpack and tricycle thinking she can go too. LOL So I combined my digi's and my cricut to come up with this card. I"m seeing more and more of this and really love the two techniques used together. I followed the sketch at The Sweet Stop. The papers are from K&Company, the Marmalade Pack. I used my graphically speaking cartridge for the "school zone" cut, and the mat on the image. The ribbon at the bottom is from Fiskars.

Thanks for taking a look! Have a fantastic weekend!

Miss Fancy Cat and my new little Priss

Goooooooooooooood Morning! Happy Sunday to all. We came across this little critter and decided she needed some lovin. Not sure yet if it's gonna work out she doesn't like my dogs at all. Some kids thought it would be funny to throw her at their dogs and watch her hiss and spit. I think that would make me afraid of them too! She's a complete snuggler and very sweet, but my dogs have been around F-O-R-E-V-E-R so that will be the deal breaker. But isn't she just the cutest little thang!?! She was helpin me while I was putting my card together last night. I think she liked the fact she was high up and the dogs weren't - LOL

So this image is "Miss Fancy Cat" by MelJen's. Originally I was going to color her in pinks and purples but the MelJen's Challenge this week is for Brown, Teal and Orange, so that changed. I am happy with how it turned out though. I followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness. Most everyone had done these gorgeous vintagey, blinged out designs and I knew I couldn't compete with any of those!! They welcome all styles though. My ribbon and those little flowers are from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I think they worked well together. The paper is from the summer pack and the sentiment, I'm just not sure - sorry. It's pretty old.

Thank you so much for stopping by. It means the world to me!

Precious One! (second post)

WOW! I wasn't sure I'd have this one done tonight. Woohoo!! I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday's, so it's a good thing I got it done considering the new one comes out in the AM. I'm also entering this into Charisma Cardz. That challenge was to use a die cut. I should have used my cricut for that, but.......I went to Pottery Barn with a friend the other day and we found this clearance isle that had bins full cool stuff. After digging for awhile I found a couple things that I could use on my scrap stuff. The card was made from a mini kit by Colorbok for baby boys, which happened to have a couple die cuts. It just so happens a co-worker of my hubbies had a new baby the other day. Perfect! AND it was only $1.00!! The image is from MelJen's called "Cuddle Cloud Baby". Too precious!

Night!
Jen

My Buddy!

I'm entering this card in Karen's Doodles Challenge and Flutterbye this week. This is such a sweet image and it holds a ton of meaning for me and my besties grandaughter! The image is called "Maggie and Me". The papers are from Basic Grey. I love how they work together so well. I colored this image awhile back. I can see that I've grown some since then. The butterfly is from a set I received from the forum on Swirlydoos. If you're not a member you really should go check it out. It's a great group of girls!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Best Friends are Hard to Find!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I hope ya'll are enjoying this beautiful Sunday and taking time to recognize the blessings in your life. I know alot of us are going through hard times right now. Even with that we still have blessings every day. Sometimes the bad over shadows the good going on. So, I challenge each of you to find something positive and be thankful for it! I'd love to hear what your blessing is. Mine is that I have a loving family that is very close and we enjoy doing things together. Yes, even though my son is 17 we still spend quality time together. That's hard to find these days.

On to my card for today. I just love this adorable image from Mo's Store called "My Friend". Lately Mo's has been my top go to for my images. I just love them!! I followed the sketch at The Sweet Stop. DP2 Challenge had a color scheme to follow. I came as close as I could with what I had. All my supplies are from my My Creative Scrapbook Kit, which you can find here if you're interested in it. They have great papers, embellies and ideas for a great price! Check it out.

As always, I colored my image with my prisma's and the sentiment on the inside says "Good Friends are Hard to Find".

Thanks for stoppin by! I"m off to play some more. WooHoo, actually getting some things accomplished this weekend.

Big Hugs to all - Jen

Little Teapot

This evenings post is my second for today. Scroll down to see "Sweet Bear". MelJen's current challenge is to use your image twice. A unique challenge. I'm finding that more and more challenge sites are coming up with some great twists to the normal. So fun! Rosie D's challenge was to use multiple folds. My take was just not the standard everyday cards. So with all that in mind I came up with my "Fancy Little Teapot", which is a MelJens image. My image is stamped and colored twice. One on the front of the card and one on the inside. The papers are from DCWV Summer pack. I followed last weeks sketch at Sketch Saturday. I incorporated it into the front and inside of the card. The little flower was handmade, just a trial to see if I could do it! LOL The sentiment was inspired by my bestie. She collects teapots and I'll be sending this to her. The sentiment is from World Art World.

Well............I'm off to color some more images. I have a really fun one I'm working on. Can't wait to show you! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look and leave me some love. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Hugs - Jen

Sweet Bear and Mouse

Hey there - Have a cute easel card I made today for several challenges. This image is "Bear and Mouse" made by Beccy at Beccy's Place. She is very talented and has many freebies she shares with all. Her images are just adorable. Do stop by and leave her some love.

At Charisma Cards we were to make an easel card. I did that following the sketch from Critter Sketch's Challenge. The image was colored with my prisma's. All paper and embellishments are from my Swirlydoo Kit. Those can be found here.

Paper Makeup Kits

Just a quickie this morning. I was so excited when I logged on to Squigglefly and saw that I had won the challenge for the week! What a great feeling to start off your day!

I got one of the kits from Paper Makeup Stamps awhile back. It's called "Celestial Possibilities". You can purchase it here. I really love it. I was going to join the challenge this week but didn't get done in time. Go figure! Not like I EVER do that! LOL So here are two cards I made with the kit. I'm also entering this into the new challenge blog at Simon Says Stamp and Show. The challenge is Things with Wings. So my little card set fits into it quite nicely, if I don't say so myself.

I have two hummingbird feeders right outside my window here and this morning I've been watching a total of 8 hummers squawking with each other for a place to sit. Mind you there's enough for all of them but they want each others spot! Too funny.

Enjoy your Thursday!

"Oh Baby"

Just a quick post so I can get this turned in before it closes. At Jitterbuggin this week we had a sketch to follow and make a card to welcome those little ones. I used a MelJen's image "Giraffe Necktie". MelJen's Challenge was to do a "clean and simple" card. So I combined these two and came up with this baby card. I used my sentiments Cricut cartridge to cut out the sentiment and the stroller. Everything else was from my scrap bin. I'm doing really good on using up those scraps. Later this week or next I'll be posting some small notepads I've done with those scraps as well. Have a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by!

Playing Farmville

Morning! This card was inspired by my bestie! Her birthday is tomorrow, the BIG 40! Ha, I still have a couple years.. She is completely addicted to Farmville on Facebook. I have to admit I was too for awhile. I flew back to stay a week with her earlier this year and we'd get ourselves all setup at the dining room table with our coffee and laptops and farm and visit and laugh. It was an absolute blast. We'd even schedule what we were doing around our crops! LOL So this card totally fits her! I kept going back and forth between a mushy one and this one, but if you know us, you know this fits!

So I used the image "Checking Facebook" from Mo's Store. So totally my Jocie, right down to the hairstyle, glasses, robe and slippers! LOL I colored her up with my prisma's and added the sentiment from TLC Creations. Isn't it just perfect for this image. Paullette takes requests. You send her an image and she makes a sentiment for you. So great! I followed the sketch challenge at Friday Sketchers. I got this papaer pack kit as a gift I believe it's by My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope it's a wonderful Sunday for all filled with tons of blessings!

Great Tip for Storage!

In my browsing tonight I found a great tip on storing your Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. The trail started with Joy at Obsessed with Scrapbooking. She has all the new cuttlebug folders listed as well as the up and coming ones too. There are sets to match a ton of Cricut cartridges. She also told me about Linda at The Paper Boutique, who created this gorgeous storage for Cuttlebug folders.
She even has a video on it.

Linda altered this box using Cosmo Cricket papers, embellishments and Cricut Design Studio cut files from Okieladybug, designed for this purpose! You can get the cut file and a complete tutorial at Okie's blog. Check it out at Okieladybug's Scrap N' More blog.

Well, that's it for tonight. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. I still have canning to do and hopefully will get some time to work on a few card orders. Then I going to get some much needed rest. It's been a bit of a rough week so I'll be glad when my body decides pain isn't on the agenda!

Much Love - Jen

FYI found some GREAT blog candy!

I was cruising around my blogger friends and found a couple blog candies you definitely want to check out. Janet has some yummy candy at Sonnet Designs. She is drawing on August 13th.

Then head over to A thousand sheets of Paper and enter Amy's blog candy. She actually kept track of how long it would take to use 1,000 sheets of paper and it was........drum roll please............just over 1 year! Can you believe it???

Good luck and may we all be winners!

Welcome Devilish Donna!

I am enjoying these Kenny K images SOOOOOOO much! They're so full of energy and fun. Who wouldn't get a smile on their face after receiving a card with one of these "nasty" girls on it - LOL (I don't mean to offend anyone.) I made this card up for several challenges going on this week. (See below) I used "Devilish Donna", I thought she would be perfect for several of the challenges requiring wings. Everything on my card is from my May Kit from Swirlydoos. I even used the shimmerz (first time) on her wings to bling them up a bit. I added the feather for a little something extra behind the image. I think it finished it off good. I used the scraps I cut off the bottom to decorate the inside of the card. The colors in the picture are a little off. My camera didn't take a very good picture. It's that Devilish Donna at it again! You know who you are!!

Simon Says Stamp wanted you to design your card around a song. For some reason I couldn't get "Barracuda", Pat Benatar out of my head, not quite what you would expect but you'd have to be in my head to understand my thinking!

I've been really into vampire's lately. I just finished the Anita Blake series, by Laurell K. Hamilton and now I'm trying to find something else to move onto. Any suggestions let me know!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate you taking the time to do it and leave me a comment. Happy Thursday night or Friday morning, whichever it is for you!

My Sweet Little Angel

Happy Hump Day!

My post this morning is for several challenges (See end of post for list). WooHoo - look at me go! LOL This little image is "Angel with Puppy" from Mo's Digital Pencil Too's store, found here. I'm finding myself going back to Mo's images again and again. Although I rarely get them done in time for their challenge. Oh well. She was so fun to color. The new technique I tried out was using my new Viva Decor pen. I have to say it's VERY cool! I wish I had them in every color. My cute sentiment is from Create with TLC. Paullette gives out tons of freebie's every day and has a great selection in her store as well. I continued the papers to the inside so you can include a personal note. Thanks for taking the time to look and have a great day!

"Pammy's Stocking"

Happy Tuesday! I spent the day at the mall - UGH! We got up early and left since the A/C is out in the car and we needed to go to Rivergate. With the temps. over 100 today it was a terribly hot drive but not as bad as I thought it'd be. I think we got home just in time before the high of the day hit. My bestie's hubby sent my son a gas powered remote truck to rebuild and drive so of course it was all built and ready to go by this morning! LOL It just came yesterday afternoon. She spoils him so much. But he was thrilled. It's his senior year and I have to say that his list for new clothes was very short considering. Only like 3 things. That's my kid, the bargain shopper and he's so good about re-using his things every year. Some kids think they need a new backpack every year. I don't get that. Anyway, on to my card!

I used Digital Pencil Two's DT, Paola's coloring as a guide for this sweet little Mo's image "Pammy's Stocking". I have to say she is the cutest christmas image EVER! I'm gonna have fun coloring her all different kinds of ways. I use alot of Paola's coloring for inspiration to help me get better. I followerd the sketch at the Critter Sketch Challenge. You were also supposed to use two ribbons, which I doubled up behind my image. Even with the 5X7 card size my image was still a little large but I decided to use it anyway and pop the tent! That sounded kinda funny.

The papers are from Making Memories "Tinsel" pack. I love these papers. I won Jan's blog candy over at Simply Made. She is so sweet. You should stop by and leave her some love. I have to say that the couple contests I've won I have become great friends with the bloggers. It's so exciting to meet new people that way.

I think that's it for this post. I got a little windy, sorry 'bout that!

Love and hugs to all!
Jen

Little Punkin

Just a quick post! Bitten by the Bug wanted you to use a fall theme cut. I chose these leaves from the Stamping cartridge and cut them out of the holiday pack of fall leaves. The stamp is one I use all the time but can't remember who it's made by, let me know if anyone else knows. I also added two Prima Flowers at the bottom to follow along with Sketch Saturday's sketch this week. I couldn't resist using Mo's image called "Punkin", you can find it at Mo's Store.

Thanks for stopping! I have a feeling the other cards are not going to make it online tonight! Now I just need to remember to link them up. I forgot to do that yesterday - whoopsy!

Big Hugs - Jen
