Tried out a new technique

I followed Gabrielle to My Creative Scrapbook to check out her tutorials. I was lost in there for HOURS! I took lotsa notes and sat down to try out a few things last night. Here is the layout I came up with. It uses several tutorials including one on layering this type of layout. Creating these flowers and many others. They can be found at www.mycreativescrapbook.com posted by their VERY talented members there. They have monthly kits available as well, although they are currently all sold out. They do offer a waiting list so you won't miss out future ones. If you're looking for some great tutorials on making flowers, how to lay out pages, embossing, using metal, etc. this is a great place to go. I'm a member of www.scrapbook.com and have followed Gabrielle's work on there for a couple years now.

I haven't figured out the whole linking thing yet so bare with me! LOL

SO, this layout was definitely inspired by her! This is a picture of my baby sister on her wedding day. She's 36 but she'll always be my baby sister. I love her so much. She's a good mom, wife and loving person and I'm lucky to have her in my life!

Ok, enough babling onto my recipe:

  3. Hello Jen! Thanks for stopping by my blog today :) Your layout is awesome! I love it!! As for linking on your blog, if you highlight the word or words you want clickable and then click on the lil globe icon with a link through it at the top of the page (this is what it looks like to me,), and then paste your url in the box that pops up, you should be good to go. Hope I made sense lol.
