Another Flutter!

Happy Sunday! We are 5 inches deep with snow. It's so beautiful, especially looking out back onto the hillside all covered in white. I just love it. The boys had a blast yesterday sledding. The stores were all sold out of sleds so they ended up using our floaties from the pool. Those $1 floaties gave us a years worth of fun, whoda though!

Now onto my card! I used Textured cardstock from the jewel pack from Walmart for the base. I "mistakenly" made these butterflies! It was the leftovers from a butterfly cut from Cricut's Stamping cartridge. I dropped my ink block and walla a new idea. I used it to mask off some more buttrflies and added the tail from some miscellaneous stamps I have. Then I backed it with handmade paper from Paper Passport's Collage pad of golds & silvers. Tried out a new technique

I followed Gabrielle to My Creative Scrapbook to check out her tutorials. I was lost in there for HOURS! I took lotsa notes and sat down to try out a few things last night. Here is the layout I came up with. It uses several tutorials including one on layering this type of layout. Creating these flowers and many others. They can be found at www.mycreativescrapbook.com posted by their VERY talented members there. They have monthly kits available as well, although they are currently all sold out. They do offer a waiting list so you won't miss out future ones. If you're looking for some great tutorials on making flowers, how to lay out pages, embossing, using metal, etc. this is a great place to go. I'm a member of www.scrapbook.com and have followed Gabrielle's work on there for a couple years now.

I haven't figured out the whole linking thing yet so bare with me! LOL

SO, this layout was definitely inspired by her! This is a picture of my baby sister on her wedding day. She's 36 but she'll always be my baby sister. I love her so much. She's a good mom, wife and loving person and I'm lucky to have her in my life!

"Super Grad" Page Layout

Here's another layout I did the other night. It's from Colorbok's "Paper Crush". I"m lovin this pack. There's so much rock n roll stuff. I'm not sure how I'm gonna use it all yet. I've done some cards and a vew layouts. Hope you enjoy it.

First Card Entry

This is my very first challenge entry. I'm so excited that I'm pushing myself to do more. Whatever I can do to keep my thoughts on something other than pain is good for my soul! This is my entry for the Mojo Monday123 challenge. Click here to check it out They wanted you to do either a circle or rectangle card this week. So I attempted both. The fairy girl is from "A Child's Year" cartridge and the hearts are from "Accent Essentials", The paper is from Colorbok and the stamped sentiments are from Heidi Grace Stamps. I embossed and added glitter to her wings and also glittered the hearts. Tryin to add more bling to my stuff.

Another Layout!

It's Sunday and it's time for another layout posting. My coffee is almost gone and I'll have to get to work on baking for the week's lunches so I wanted to post another layout. I think my pages are okay, but they're lacking SOMETHING! I am completely open to suggestions! My scrapbooking and cardmaking is coming along but I know that there could be more of a WOW factor them. So please give me some ideas! I've been surfing blogs for tutorials and organizing tips and have found some really good ones. I'll post some of those on Tuesday, so check back! Scrapbook Page!

This is a page for my niece, Kimberly. My sister is a career mom and doesn't have the down time for scrapbooking. She's asked me to do my niece's scrapbooks which of course I was delighted to do. So you'll see alot of layouts of them. I have boys and my sis has girls - go figure! It's been so much fun doing girlie layouts. I didn't write down what I used on this one but I'll check and update it and make sure I include it on the others!

P.S. If you look at the McFaddell Card under this post you'll notice I used the scraps to do the tri-shutter card!
