Good morning ladies! (And Mr. Crafty!-LOL) I'm here with my DT card for Challenge #7 from
The Hodge Podge Shop! We had some much needed time off and are refreshed and ready for action! I'd also like to welcome Fae back to our team. She's had some emergency surgeries that came up during December and has been recovering. I'm so glad to have her back and feeling a bit better!
Today I've used "Sweet Wildflowers". I put just a hint of green on it. It's a beautiful image all on it's own. I accented it with double ribbons from RRR on the side. I also added a Prima flower and pretty butterfly from my My Creative Scrapbook kit. I added some faux stitching just to break up the layers a bit. Hope you enjoy it!
This Challenge will run until Feb. 9th, so you have plenty of time to join in. We'd sure love to see you. Why not try a Hodge Podge Shop image this week and support Shelley as she gets her business off the ground!
Warm and happy thoughts!
Jen

Hello and a happy Sunday to ya! It's a busy weekend around here. I had time to slip in this post real quick and then I'm off again. Just a reminder about the new challenges going on at the
Hodge Podge Challenge site. There will be a new challenge this coming Thursday. I know that Shelley has yummy stuff coming up so you definitely wanna pay attention!
This image is "
Genie Oil Lantern" of course from the
Hodge Podge Shop. I colored it up to match the gorgeous papers from Basic Grey's, Eva collection. It's one of my favorites. I added some buttons and ribbon and that's about it. The sketch is from
MOJO Monday.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment on my cards. I really appreciate everything you have to say.

It's finally here!
This is our very first challenge here at the
Hodge Podge Shop. We are so excited! This week we want to see your Distressed creations. You can tear it, ink it, stain it...distress it any way you want.
The lucky, randomly chosen winner will win 2 images from the
Hodge Podge Shop store. We have some awesome imagesfrom two terrific artists! And more being added all the time.

For my card I chose an image by Michael. His images are realistic and more country or architectual inspired. They're fabulous! A very dear friend of my husbands lost his mother this week. When I sat down to put together a card Michael's image came to mind and it all just fell together. This image was perfect for the sentiment I wanted to express.

The sentiment is from
Paper Makeup Stamps and it's the "
When There's Nothing Left to Say" set. Mine says "
Remember" on the front and then inside it says "May the Sweet Memories you Hold in Your Heart Carry you Through This Difficult Time". Kinda sad for my first DT card, I know, but it was just so perfect.
Thanks for stoppin!!
